I originally posted this in 2013 on another site at Imbolc, and I decided to bring back the oldie here 'Homemade Crunchy Beernut Butter', golden beer nut crunch butter with the fibrous skins on. The difference of plain crunchy PNUT butter is the extra Salt content, so make sure to use a healthy mineral rich salt. DIY is so much cheaper/better tasting etc, however you will need a blender or food processor. Any nut/seed can be made to butter but the secret to blending nuts is to use roasted ones or roast them yourself (there's a link at the end of this post). This crunchy gold can be eaten out of the jar and it makes a great sundae topper and I like a dollop in wrapped up in a spring roll. What I Used...
