#2020 #Menu #Wyrdcraft #Witchcraft #Druidry #WhiteCulture #CakesAndAle #Midsummer #Litha My basic go to menu for cakes and ale at ritual, along with where they come onto the place of the white or Wyrdcraft and Druidry... In the Western tradition we have many established meal times that are named, with foods and drink often changing in the menu to reflect the availability of what is on the land or Season. One meal time can be specifically used for ritual in any of the white crafts from Witchcraft/wyrdcraft to Druidry. In this post you will see my favourite carrot cake (blended boiled apple & 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed in 3/4 cup of water instead of eggs & oil or dairy) along with vegan almond & lavender icing (link coming for the latter) Served with strained apple & pomegranate juice. This is my basic go to ritual menu, for purpose of both offerings and grounding. From the Chapter 'Menu’s for Ritual' Use in a typical Ritual, by order;
The 'cakes' Literal cakes, cupcakes, muffins, even bread or cookies - these are the physical representations of the gifts the ancestral earth/Gottesses gives us. In some regions the cakes are representation of harvest Gots such as Frey or Lugh the long hand. My choices are always vegan, why? For it is druidic to see all animals as sentient beings. Also, representing ancestral got or gottess of type, & that to consume their flesh is an insult, not to mention a sign of disrespect. The 'Ales' Literally any drink which can even be water. I prefer strained homemade juice/nectar from the bounty of seasonal fruit. I personally won’t offend the Gots with any alcohol or deliberate intoxication. The drinks are basically a physical representations of ancestral the gifts that the Gots gives us and the vessel or chalice that holds being the Gottess womb. In some regions the Ales or waters represent the Gottess womb. It doesn’t really matter which you associate with what, as long as you have balance of both female/male, Gottess/Got, in order to call upon what is required to ground, post ritual.
