My storage and foodie time saving routine - ☽ ✧ - Δ - ✧ ☾ - Upon fresh produce brought home, there's a routine I have. It saves a heck of time daily in food prep in the long run along with making for better and longer fresh food storage. Back in the days of competing in sport, the nutrition was at least 90% of the work in the bodybuilding sport alone. However prepping foods everyday for 6-9 meals daily was a bit of a chore. Early on I adapted cooking and prepping foods in bulk once or twice a week. Today I still do this to a degree but with the veg mostly (vegan now) Making veg boxes ahead of time to take and go during the day, no longer having excuses to skip salad and so on due to being time poor for prep. If juices are on the menu and do the same with bulk juicing also. From Chapter 'storage' My overall routine with fresh produce;
Place cuts of fresh herbs in glass water filled jars (I reuse pasta jars for this purpose) Pitted dates to a glass jar & stored in the fridge Clean produce with sink of water, couple tablespoons of vinegar & scrub brush, dry & sit in dish-rack to drain Dice and slice up produce into separate veg boxes © January 4th 2018-04-01
